Social responsibility and sustainability are at the heart of what we do at St. John's Concierge.
The 'Summer of a Lifetime' project aims to expand the opportunities available to talented but less privileged children in Africa, by working with other organisations to provide support for their leisure and future career.
The project has 2 main objectives:
To encourage and reward talented less privileged children who have a hard work ethic and a genuine passion for success
To open doors of opportunity, provide guidance and to unleash their potential to the world
At St. John's Concierge, we celebrate talent and hard work, and the Summer of a Lifetime project is our way of working to ensure that talents are harvested for the benefit of many. It is also our way of identifying with our roots and giving back to a continent which has given us so much.
The work we do provides the impetus to execute this project. We are specialists in lifestyle management, therefore can easily secure visas, organise holidays and events and coordinate programs to help the children enjoy a rewarding summer full of fun and educational activities. The time away from home will allow them develop an alternate world view to that which they held originally, and broaden their horizon and ideas about life. They will attend specialist seminars and workshops to encourage their genius and strengthen their morale.
For sustainability, there is a system in place to continue to work with the children to identify their strengths and provide vital information and help towards achieving their dreams.
The long term goal of the project is that the enterprise will eventually be run wholly by the alumni of the project.
